Hwa ChongJuly kicked off with an exciting groundbreaking collaboration between SOSD and Hwa Chong Institution. Today SOSD is pioneering an on-going in-house weekly program where participants from this college will be trained to get some of our dogs adoption-ready, and also prepare suitable candidates for SOSD’s animal-assisted activity, the Healing Paws program.

Hwa ChongUnder SOSD’s training, committed and passionate youngsters from Hwa Chong Institution will not only learn about dog behaviour, they will also be taught how to help our dogs become comfortable with people and various surroundings.

Hwa ChongWe hope that such collaboration will increase people’s awareness of the problems of stray dogs and give society opportunities for involvement in changing the world for these street dogs.

Hwa ChongThe humane social foundation of our future generation lies in improving society’s understanding of the problems of stray dogs. SOSD’s Team Education and Outreach reaches out to the younger generation of future leaders by spreading social awareness on humane and moral values to students in schools and institutions through our in-house action programs and social modules. If you would like for us to come to your school or institution, or to explore volunteerism in our Outreach programs, you can reach us at our Team Education and Outreach email: outreach@sosd.org.sg

As SOSD is fully operated by volunteers, please note that the availability of these programs will be dependent on the availability of volunteers.
