Personality: Becky was rescued with a collar tightly wound around his neck, cutting deep into his neck causing raw and painful wounds. When we first rescued him, he had to be sedated before we could remove the collar, as he was in such pain. It was likely left on him when he was a young pup, and then thrown out before he was full grown.
We also found out that he was suffering from a dangerous strain of tick fever – Babesia, requiring expensive medication. Thankfully, he responded well to the medication and fully recovered within a month.
Becky is very affectionate and loves getting head rubs from humans. He enjoys being around us, and we can’t wait to find this boy a loving home.
