Happy endings do happen, but one day, we all have to say goodbye to our loved ones.
Lady, a Labrador retriever, was found abandoned in a drain several years ago. When rescued, she immediately warmed up to us and became the darling to many volunteers.
Lady was adopted by the most loving family possible. They migrated to London and brought her along, where she spent her time smelling the flowers, playing in the snow, and snuggling up to her family. She lived in bliss; a very different life from what she had to endure when she was cast out and discarded.
But Lady fell very ill and was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Within a month she stopped eating and could not get up anymore. She left this world, surrounded by her loving family.
Lady was such a loving soul. Her family tells us that she gave back more to them then they could ever give her. We are the beneficiaries when we adopt a rescue dog. Through them, we learn life’s lessons, gain companionship, and take one step further into understanding life.
Join us as we take a moment to say goodbye to Lady, celebrate her fulfilling life, and thank her wonderful family for giving their all to this beautiful soul.
We will miss you, Lady!
