“Unbeknownst to me in 2018, embarking on my volunteering journey with SOSD has profoundly shaped my life today. Through dedicated involvement in rehoming cases and regular dog-walking sessions at the shelter, I’ve forged meaningful connections with dogs, fellow volunteers, and staff! Many of these relationships have blossomed into cherished bonds, united by our shared dedication to enhancing animal welfare.
The gratification derived from directly impacting these animals’ lives, witnessing their transformation into beloved pets finding forever homes, fills me with boundless joy. Knowing that our collective efforts play a pivotal role in their journey towards happiness serves as a driving force, motivating me through the highs and lows.
Moreover, the supportive network within the Animal Welfare community has made this journey an enriching experience, marked by camaraderie and moments of shared laughter. Together, we navigate challenges and celebrate victories, fuelled by our passion for making a difference in the lives of our furry friends, one animal at a time.”
