“We first fell in love with Paxton when we reached out to HuiJin, who’s a volunteer with SOSD. We have been wanting to adopt a SS for about 8months. The entire family fell in love with his picture and we knew we wanted him to join our family. Having spent much of my childhood with dogs, I knew the important values a pet can teach you and I want my kids to experience it too.
Due to the CB, we had to wait to see him at his fosterer’s home. During our house visit, we told HuiJin that we were only ‘viewing’ him and no other pup. On the day we went to visit Paxton, we were all prepared and since our hearts were stolen, we brought him home that very same day for his home stay. We actually didn’t need the 2 weeks’ trial, as we already knew he was going to be be our 4th child.
Paxton has now been with us for 2 weeks and is officially our baby. He is still very timid and gets spooked easily. However, we see little improvements in him daily and will do all we can to help him grow into a confident darling. The loyalty and affection he shows us daily will keep us all going. We are truly the blessed ones to get this wonderful soul in our lives. Thanks HuiJin and SOSD.”
