“I saw Fides at an adoption drive in April 2016, when he was 4.5 months old. He wasn’t getting as much attention as the other puppies but something about him made me know he was the one for me. 1 month later, I brought my wife (then-gf) to see him and she fell in love with him. Fides even fell asleep with his head in her hands. Plans were made for a homestay, but due to certain restrictions in my personal life, it didn’t happen and I wasn’t able to adopt him then.
For the next 2.5 years, I went down to adoption drives occasionally to see if anyone adopted him. Unfortunately, he was not always there and not everyone I asked knew if he was adopted. Last year, we got married and my wife moved over to Singapore. We decided that now is finally a good time to adopt a doggo.
They told me that Fides is a medium-level energy dog on walks and low-energy dog at home and that is really true! He loves sniffing, exploring outside and is excited to meet other mongrels. But at home, he’s like an old soul, just chilling and napping in his corner. On 23 Dec 2018, I signed the adoption papers and Fides was officially adopted!
Also, I brought my good friend along to the adoption drives since she also loved dogs. She wasn’t looking to adopt then, but she saw a puppy (Pagan) looking all sad and went to sit with her. 3 adoption drives later, a homestay was arranged and Pagan was soon to be officially adopted!”
