SOSD is part of a project on Jurong Island to look after the 400 dogs there. The project has now evolved to not only sterilising the dogs, but also to take care of them. SOSD’s main role is to help look after more than 100 dogs in the Shelter and surrounding area on Jurong Island, and also feed other homeless dogs on the island. The AWGs’ work there is crucial as it protects the 400 dogs from culling, illness and starvation. In the picture, you see Shadow, a sweet boy that we look after at the Jurong Island Shelter.
We are looking for a SHELTER WORKER to join us to help the doggies on Jurong Island!
Your duties will include:
– Cleaning of shelter and feeding of dogs in the shelter on Jurong Island
– Feeding the stray dogs on Jurong Island
Requirements:
– Ok with outdoor work, under the sun and heat
– Ok with travelling to Jurong Island. If you drive, it is a plus.
– Flexible work hours: 44 hours a week
– Positive, responsive and resilient attitude (work conditions are harsh)
– Singaporean
