Rudolph

Sponsored by Steve & Maricel

Gender: Male
HDB Approved: No

Estimated DOB: 15 Aug 2012

Personality: Meet Rudolph! Rudolph is a 9-year old, non-HDB approved male who has LOTS of love to give to his humans once they’ve bonded well with him!
Rudolph has had an unfortunate story – he was adopted as a wee pup but was returned to us at 8 years old for aggression. As we could not find another home for him in time, he was unfortunately returned to the shelter. When he first came back to us, he was a wreck – so confused and missed his family so much that he kept howling all the time 😢 This happened in November last year, and we were heartbroken.
Fast forward 1 year later, and here we are with a Rudolph that has calmed down very much and is super trainable! We think it’s because he is very eager to please his favourite humans. His frequent handler at the shelter can touch him everywhere and even muzzle and give him his vaccination (!!).
As Rudolph is a high energy dog (as well as selective to dogs and humans), we realised his reaction to most dogs is more on the playful side. But because he doesn’t know how to contain his excitement, he can scare the other dogs.
A perfect family profile for Rudolph would be a single adult household or all adult household that can give Rudolph time and space to worm his way into your heart. Once he trusts you, he’s extremely affectionate, cheeky and cute!! The adopter will also need to manage Rudolph when it comes to encountering other dogs on walks, or with unfamiliar humans i.e. visitors coming into the home. We would be more than happy to guide you through this process, so that you will never be alone in this!
We love Rudolph and will gladly work together with you to set him up for success!
