Personality: Stevie’s eye sight could not be saved by the time we rescued him. He spent some months in shelter getting treated for heartworm, and when he finally recovered, we could finally schedule him for surgery to remove his eyes, to reduce the risks of future complications and injuries. Shortly after his surgery, Stevie appeared to have glowed up and blossomed! He seemed a lot more relaxed when we interact with him, which might have meant his eyes were causing him chronic discomfort and stress. He now enjoys going out for strolls, and we can’t wait for him to find a forever home that can give him comfort and love.
